The Lincoln & Welland Regiment Association

By the end of WW2, the soldiers of the Lincoln & Welland Regiment represented a virtual cross-section of the population of Canada. Due to casualties sustained in the war, replacements were brought in from across the country. By the time it arrived back in St. Catharines in 1946, “Niagara’s” Regiment contained soldiers who hailed from as far as Vancouver in the west and Halifax in the east. Regardless of where they called home, the men of the regiment would continue to share a bond unlike any other for the rest of their lives. They would forever be…..’Lincs’

Soon, a need emerged to maintain those close bonds. There had to be a way to maintain social ties and promote support and camaraderie among all those who have served with the Regiment. IT was out of this need that the Lincoln & Welland Regiment Association was created in 1947.

Since then, The Association has functioned as a social and support network for any veteran of the Regiment regardless of the time period that they served with the unit.

Today the Regimental Association membership contains former and serving soldiers that span more than 80 years of the Regiment’s history. They regularly gather to share camaraderie and enjoy the common bond of service that they all share.
